South Australia's spirits industry is as strong as ever, with five local distilleries taking home 13 awards - including Gin of the Year - at the 2020 London Spirits Competition.
How’d your favourite SA distilleries do at the 2020 London Spirits Competition?
Pandemic or not, some things will never change.
So long as there are distilling competitions judged around the world, South Australia’s ever-expanding craft spirits industry will inevitably take home an award or two.
The London Spirits Competition was held earlier this month, Monday, 6 July, and among the global cohort of winners were five South Australian distilleries, who collectively took home 13 gongs.
This was the third year of the London Spirits Competition, which is run by Beverage Trade Network and judged by a panel of “spirits industry experts with commercial buying responsibility.”
The award fancies itself as “the only spirits competition of its kind that rates spirits by quality, value and packaging.”
For our piece, CityMag can confirm that each of the distilleries listed below are responsible for some certifiably bangin’ products.
Read on, and, as always, keep an eye out for the best SA booze any time you visit your local bottle shop.
