While Eggless’ specialty might be their vegan- and lacto-vegetarian friendly treats, it was fond memories of warm welcomes that brought Elaine Cheng out to the distinctly individual cafe, sketchbook under her arm.
Eggless with Elaine Cheng
Eggless has been a favourite of mine since high school. My friends and I would line up for an hour to get inside but it was oh-so worth it.

Visit Eggless at 162 Goodwood Road, Goodwood.
While you’re there, Elaine recommends you try the Green tea tiramisu, Avocado Mousse with Peanut Butter Ice Cream, Hot Stove Special, Moroccan Cheesecake, Eggless Tasting Platter
Ken would guide us to a table and take his time to explain the menu no matter how busy they were. He would then proceed to give everyone a fist bump on our way out. These small gestures gave me an immediate sense of familiarity and belonging, it’s what I love about small, local businesses.
It was such a treat this time around, to finally meet the woman behind it all, working her magic in the kitchen. Whether it be vegan, gluten free, or eggless, Eelin can whip up anything just the same. There’s no other place that can cook up creations as unique as these, and what better time to experience the best of Eggless than by tasting their October menu , voted by the customers themselves?
