Start your day the right way, with a long, beachside brunch at one of the many hidden gems along Jetty Road.

Tucked away on Moseley Street, Somewhere @ Moseley offers beautiful brunch favourites, including French toast and big brekkies, to get you through a long day of swimming and shopping.

If you’re after something lighter, pop by Superette and enjoy a coffee and sweet treat outside the heritage-listed shopfront on the corner of Moseley and College streets.

You can’t spend a day at Glenelg without heading to the beach, so grab your towel and sunscreen and enjoy a swim as you soak up your own piece of paradise.

You can’t miss the Mix 102.3 Giant Wheel, so be sure to enjoy a ride and take in the spectacular views of the Adelaide coastline.

Greg Payne, owner of Extreme Boardriders, says Glenelg is a great spot for  paddle boarding and snorkelling.

“Boogie boards are always so much fun, and kids bring their skimboards down. It’s the perfect beach with really flat water for skimboarding,” Greg says.

After making a splash, you’ll have worked up an appetite. There are cafés and restaurants galore, so dry off and head back to Jetty Road for a relaxed meal. Whether you’re looking for takeaway, formal dining, or something in between, Jetty Road, Glenelg is brimming with great culinary options.

Fill up on a burger and milkshake from BurgA’nomix, or enjoy some fresh seafood at Cardone’s Seafood & Grill.

If you’re not wanting to dine in, grab fish and chips from the Bay Fish Shop and set up a picnic in a sunny spot along the shoreline.

With your stomach full and appetite sated, walk off your meal while browsing the nearby stores for all your entertainment, fashion, homeware and beauty needs.

With plenty of local businesses lining Jetty Road, you’ll always get genuine service and quality products.

Gilia Martin, owner of Attitudes Boutique, has worked on Jetty Road for 16 years and loves the bubbling community and great atmosphere.

“It’s not just quick customer service, it’s long term customers, and that’s what makes it really special down here,” she says.

Greg at Extreme Boardriders agrees.

“I have owned [Extreme Boardriders] since 1995, so we have got a real connection with our local community and have learned what people really want down here at the bay,” he says.

For occasions; like a date night, casual catch-up with friends, or a family dinner, there are plenty of dining options on Jetty Road.

Enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet of authentic Japanese cuisine at Nijumaru or indulge in pizza, doughnuts and cocktails at Doughballs.

Be sure to treat yourself to dessert while you watch the sunset by stopping by one of Jetty Road’s quality ice cream purveyors, such as Gelatissimo, St Louis and Bottega Gelateria.

And the fun doesn’t stop once the sun goes down. With bars, pubs and restaurants open, you can continue your night with a glass of wine in the beachside summertime atmosphere.

Enjoy a drink with a view at The Grand Bar, pop by The Moseley Bar & Kitchen for tapas and cocktails, or dig your toes into the sand at the Moseley Beach Club.

With a bumper summer season of events, there’s something for everyone – from daytime markets and festivals to foreshore concerts and opera on the beach.

“The markets are a great way to have a meander and experience something different every weekend that they’re on. It is always unique,” Gilia says.

“People are always loving the street parties, but another great thing we do are the beach concerts.”

Whether you’re a beach goer, a foodie or a shopaholic, Jetty Road, Glenelg is sure to provide an unforgettable beachside experience this summer.
