Our latest print edition, Summer Nights, has hit the streets - and it's a scream.

Nothing sparks joy in the CityMag offices quite like sending off stacks of our latest print baby to the streets of Adelaide.

This year, we’ve shaken things up by producing a Summer Nights Picture Show for our 41^st issue.

The vintage and camp horror poster of our dreams – which came to life on the cover thanks to our fabulous designer Jayde Vandborg – depicts a menacing knife slicing lime for a negroni, which we’ve dubbed the sip of the summer. Pick up a copy to see which Adelaide bars have the best ones.

As much as we love days by the beach and knock-off drinks with a bowl of hot chippies to go around, we know that’s not the only way Adelaide celebrates summer. We’ve explored the scenes in the city, from Adelaide’s horror hub to the multi-faceted performance art of drag. We also took a trip down memory lane to see how much our nightlife experiences differ between the generations. Whether you partied at Limbo or the Woolshed, opt for horror screenings or collect VHS, love groovy streetwear or are after gift inspo, we’ve got you.

We spent some time with Callum Hann and Themis Chryssidis from Olive, as they took on a public BBQ and served up a delectable buffalo mozzarella salad, fried feta and BBQ octopus. Not only can you read all about it, but you can scan the QR code on the pages to collect the recipe. Of course, we also compiled a guide to the latest food and drink offerings around town.
