Adelaideans planning on seeing Fridayz Live at the Entertainment Centre on Sunday, November 12, will have extended set times across the line-up to replace one famous Aussie face.

Abbie Chatfield will no longer be co-hosting the Fridayz Live tour this year, and likely won’t in the years to come according to a statement released on her Instagram this morning.

Chatfield pulled out of the tour due to “personally not feeling comfortable performing her duties as co-host” while a lawsuit including allegations of sexual harassment against the headline act is ongoing.

In an announcement sent by Frontier Touring outlining the Fridayz Live set times and venue maps, Chatfield’s absence was cited as being for “personal reasons”.

Fridayz Live declined to comment in response to Chatfield’s post but did confirm she will not be replaced as a co-host.

In addition to Chatfield’s absence, US artist Baby Bash will also be absent from the tour due to being unable to leave the United States for health reasons.

In response to the lineup changes, set times of other artists will be extended.

Artists scheduled to appear are Jason Derulo, Boyz II Men, Flo Rida, Kelly Rowland, 112, JoJo, Kaygee and Vinnrock, Havana Brown and Yo! Mafia.

While he was not explicitly named in Chatfield’s statement, headliner Jason Derulo is facing a lawsuit in the US.

A lawsuit was filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court on October 5 against Derulo by US singer Emaza Gibson, seeking unpaid wages, loss of earnings, deferred compensation and damages for emotional distress.

Gibson alleges Derulo grew aggressive after she rejected his sexual advances and eventually dropped the record deal she was promised by him.

Derulo has denied these allegations previously in an Instagram video.

Chatfield co-hosted last year’s inaugural Fridayz Live tour around Australia alongside rapper and radio presenter Fatman Scoop.

Since being on the seventh season of The Bachelor in 2019, Chatfield has built a public profile for speaking candidly about sex, gender and the social and political landscape in Australia. These days, she’s best known for being a judge on The Masked Singer and her podcast It’s a Lot.

The choice to remove herself from the line-up aligns with Chatfield’s public-facing values: she’s become known for speaking out against gendered and racial injustice on her social media and podcast.

Chatfield was last in Adelaide in May for her Trauma Dump tour at Thebarton Theatre.
