Illuminate Adelaide's Resonate will light up the Adelaide Botanic Garden for an extra week this winter.

The Resonate experience is an hour-long journey through the paths of the Adelaide Botanic Garden after dark, with a mesmerising light experience on every corner.

Expect a colourful, bright and more immersive journey, walking its viewers into an alternate universe, but never having to leave the 5000 postcode.

Co-founders and creative directors of Illuminate Adelaide, Rachael Azzopardi and Lee Cumberlidge say they are extending the Resonate season to meet demand.

“We’ve experienced more walk-up box office sales than ever before. The one week extension means you can book ahead online and secure your preferred session time,” Rachael says.

“Resonate has been the runaway hit of this year’s Illuminate Adelaide program, attracting audiences of all ages.”

The lights Resonating with its viewers

Resonate is the improved and extended version of Light Cycles, which had two sold-out seasons, and now includes six different installations and a new nighttime garden trail.

Taking what was learnt from Light Cycles, Resonate highlights the environment after dark, with a mix of light, technology and original soundscapes.

Created by Canadian studio Moment Factory, the producers say they have taken the power of emotional and physical resonance as inspiration for each installation, and want to foster deeper connections between the viewers and the Garden surroundings.

Extended until Sunday 6 August, tickets can be purchased through Illuminate Adelaide’s website, with sessions available every 15 minutes.
