Our winter edition is on streets now

Our latest print magazine is on streets now and is best enjoyed over a hot chocolate to warm up the chilly Adelaide days this winter.

CityMag’s winter edition launches our annual 40 Under 40, which is the culmination of months of hard work from our journalists, photographers, designers and events team.

This year, we launched the mag at a very well-lit Adelaide Oval celebrating our state’s brightest young minds. Although you can see who made the cut online right now, we know there’s nothing like seeing yourself or your mates in print.

Given the theme is bright young minds, we’re going to pump up our own tyres for a second because the words in this print edition were all thought up by a team of writers under 30 years old. We know it’s not always the easiest thing to be a young person in Adelaide, especially among rising costs of living and some of our favourite venues under threat. So it’s important we celebrate the young future shapers making Adelaide a better place.

Our 40 were photographed by the brilliant Morgan Sette at the uber-cool Soda Objects in West Croydon. For the cover, our mastermind graphic designer Jayde Vandborg shows us her take on the corporate ladder. See how we did it:

Find a copy of CityMag’s latest print edition by using this map.

Or pick one up out the front of 165 Grenfell Street, Adelaide.

Also covered in this edition is Renew Adelaide, a not-for-profit that acts as a small business starter dough, and their sourdough-savvy CEO. We scoured the city for the best hot chocolate and explored the winter warmers that prevailed after disaster struck Prospect’s Sunny’s Shop.

As for what we listened to while we put this mag together? Lots of Swapmeet, who we spoke to about their new EP and changing their band name. We also captured your winter street style at the Cranker and other beloved pubs of the East End.

Use our handy map to pick up your copy of the latest mag, and if you love it – which we’re sure you will – snap a pic and tag us on socials. CityMag is completely free and can’t wait to be in your hands. Happy reading!
