Cartoonist Ross Bateup eyes city planning policy as the Adelaide Council's election race turns to rubbish (literally) and another city laneway car closure is proposed.

The State Government has made more public steps toward its goal of achieving a north-south pedestrian corridor through the city with murmurings about a trial which would close Peel Street to cars at select times. Meanwhile, the Adelaide City Council election race gets closer to the heart of of council services with candidates talking rubbish, rates and roads.
