C/MEO Collective collaborates with Solange’s Saint Heron

Adelaide's blip on the fashion radar just got a lot bigger.

  • Words: Sharmonie Cockayne

A legitimate sense of excitement has been building around the fashion industry in South Australia for a some time now.

That excitement need not be cautious anymore as C/MEO Collective delivers news we should all celebrate.

Remarks

The collection will be available from May 20 (tomorrow) at Saint Heron.

The Adelaide-based brand, which sits under the Australian Fashion Labels banner, is collaborating with Solange Knowles’ multimedia platform Saint Heron to deliver an eight-piece collection.

Solange has a history of successful brand collaborations (her ‘Word to the Woman’ Puma collection was praised for empowering women), so her choice to work with a South Australian label falls into the ‘huge deal’ category.

Additionally, the C/MEO Collective x Saint Heron collaboration is the first fashion collaboration to be featured on Saint Heron’s recently re-launched e-commerce store, which sells an array of apparel and homewares to a global customer base.

“We’re thrilled to be supporting the re-launch of Saint Heron’s online store,” says Melanie Flintoft, Creative Director of Australian Fashion Labels. “The opportunity arose completely organically and we couldn’t have chosen a more relevant icon with whom to collaborate.”

C/MEO’s head designer, Siham Elmawey, has worked with an almost muted colour palette of Clover Green, Rosewood, Blush, Cornflower, Grey Marle and an exclusive Bauhaus Print to create the collection.

“This collaboration is a dream come true for our team”, she says.

The full collection will range from $190 to $290 and will be sold exclusively on Saint Heron from May 20. Another collaborative collection between the brands is set to follow in the coming months.
