­A stylish guide to Adelaide Fashion Week

Experience Adelaide in style this October with CityMag’s guide to Adelaide Fashion Week, covering runways and previews of local collections, personalised styling sessions and fashion masterclasses.

This three-day fashion event taking place from 20-22 October celebrates the fabric of fashion in Adelaide, across five runways featuring collections for every taste.

Five runways, one weekend

Black, Beautiful and Deadly: A fashion show dedicated to showcasing the pieces of First Nations designers, featuring both casual and eveningwear collections, accompanied with music from DJ Savvlo and a performance by Kuma Kaaru. $45-$95 tickets.

All That Sparkles: Say ‘Yes!’ to a match made in heaven, with Solid Gold Diamonds and bridal fashion retailer, Luv Bridal, coming together to bring you a fashion parade featuring both the classics and the ‘something new’ in bridal gowns, along with a masterclass in diamonds. Tickets are free.

A Sartorial Affair: An exclusive runway at the Old Treasury & Tunnels venue on Flinders Street, with collections from Archives of Zobo and Racondier gracing the runway, along with the opportunity to be measured for a suit by Racondier’ s creative director. $40-$149 tickets.

2KW Present Australian Fashion Group: Experience fashion week like New Yorkers with a glamorous runway at 2KW Bar and Restaurant, which offers guests canapes, spritzes and a live DJ as they review the collections of Adelaide brands C/MEO Collective, Keepsake the Label, Finders Keepers, and the Fifth Label. $80 tickets.

Shoes, Booze and Style for the Boys: An event tailored to those who appreciate classic menswear and style, with runway looks featuring brands Finding Nina Vintage, Mr Choon, Oscar Hunt and Terry Gasson Tailor. $120 tickets.

Exclusive previews

Stay in vogue and attend some of the most exclusive events Adelaide Fashion Week has to offer, with previews of the upcoming collections of two high-end Australian fashion labels.

House of Campbell Preview: Enjoy an elaborate lunch at Golden Boy Restaurant on North Terrace while viewing the eclectic new pieces in House of Campbell’s ‘In Perpetuity’ collection, and hearing from brand founder Abby Potter. $150 Tickets, which are redeemable on any pre-orders.

Fugazzi x Calibre Long Lunch: Experience fine dining and fashion at Fugazzi’s, with a cocktail on arrival and a fusion of Italian and American cuisine, all while being the first to see Calibre’s upcoming Spring / Summer collection. $250 tickets.

Book in a fashion stylist

From Friday to Sunday, you can book in a session with a fashion stylist to help you find your next look.

Rundle Place Styling Sessions:  A 90-minute session with the best stylists in South Australia, as they consult with you on your lifestyle and fashion goals and take you on stroll through Rundle Mall and Rundle Place, to create personalised looks that will elevate your wardrobe. $25 ticket.

Styled By – Runde Street East: Complete a short questionnaire on your fashion tastes and enjoy styling across Rundle Street East’s high-end fashion labels from Adelaide stylist Lauren Dilena, with refreshments and light snacks provided. $50 tickets, redeemable in-stores on the day.

A masterclass in fashion

Learn everything from how to create the perfect wardrobe, to how to make your own pieces.

Style That Works: A masterclass hosted by stylist Michelle Beltrame and designer Katya Komarova on how you can create the ideal ‘capsule wardrobe’ and better your 9 to 5 style. $45 tickets.

Beneath the Look: A Lingerie Making Masterclass: Become a designer of elegant and sensual lingerie that suits you, in a masterclass led by Carly Morrison from Dream & Drive Lingerie, held at Freestyle Sewing in Regent Arcade. $80 Tickets.

Mintcloud x Have You Met Charlie Earing Workshop: Head over to Adelaide Arcade gift shop, Have You Met Charlie, for a class by local label Mintcloud on how to design and create earrings to match your style and personality, with access of up to 20 laser-cut pieces in floral or geometric shapes. $70 tickets.
