“Snow is glistening, a beautiful sight, we're happy tonight, walking in a winter wonderland.” – M. Bublé
Pink Moon Saloon brings us a Winter Wonderland
The seasons have officially changed, and so who better to bring the winter whimsy than the little log cabin of Leigh Street, Pink Moon Saloon.
Pink Moon Winter Wonderland will run from 4pm Sunday 12 June at Pink Moon Saloon – 21 Leigh Street, Adelaide.
In the second edition of their long weekend parties, the Pink Moon crew will be bringing out the eggnog, mulled wine, and honey-roasted ham while the snow softly falls on the courtyard.
“It started off with me wanting to hire a snow machine and this was my perfect opportunity to do it,” part owner Marshall King says.
“The idea is to make this sort of a cosy, lovely little winter cave almost.”
In addition to the Christmas spiced hot drinks, Stone and Wood will be supplying $7 beers on tap, including their seasonal Stone Beer dark ale, and from the kitchen Matthew Standen will be utilising only the most appropriate spices.
“As soon as you start throwing cinnamon and anise and nutmeg into things, people just go ‘that smells like Christmas,’” Marshall says.
The usual Pink Moon DJ crew, Oisima and Troy J Been, will be setting the mood, before the mysterious DJ Bad Santa takes to the decks.
“There’ll be Christmas carols,” Marshall assures us.
“There’s plenty of disco Christmas records that the DJ boys have been throwing about.”
“I hope it looks pretty magical in there. I’ll be up late the day before filling it up with lights.”
Pink Moon Winter Wonderland will run from 4pm Sunday 12 June.
