Look who’s hiring

Are you on the hunt for work? Some of our favourite businesses are on the lookout for talented folks to help fill gaps in Adelaide's hospo and creative industries.

It’s another hot month for hospo, with restaurants and cafes looking for staff. Some creative industry positions are also up for grabs, so if you’re a graphic designer, word wizard or grade-A coffee slinger, read on and check out our list of venues where you can flex your skills.

KARMA AND CROW

Karma and Crow are on the lookout for a supervisor who can work 20-25 hours, and casuals working one to two shifts a week.

Their supervisor must have their responsible person qualification and casuals should have their responsible service of alcohol (RSA) or be willing to get one.

If you’re ready with a smile, have a knack for getting things done and have hospitality experience then you might just be who they’re looking for.

YELLOW MATTER

Yellow Matter is Karma and Crow’s sister brewery. From May 16 Karma and Crow and Yellow Matter will both be located at 108 Marion Road, with Karma running 7.30am to 3.30pm on weekdays and 8am to 2.30pm on weekends before Yellow Matter takes over ’til late.

Yellow Matter is looking for someone with substantial bar experience to join their front-of-house team. The ideal candidate will have a positive work ethic, have their responsible person qualification, and be available Friday through Sunday afternoons and evenings, with the position open for an immediate start.

Yellow Matter provides a comfortable, homey environment for customers to enjoy their brewed beers, delicious pizzas, and non-alcoholic drinks in a fun and pastel-toned ambience.

PETER RABBIT

If you’ve got a soft spot for Peter Rabbit and you’re handy in the hospitality world, this Hindley Street spot is on the hunt for a couple of new team members.

They need a Sous Chef who’s got some solid experience and can do the full-time gig. Plus, they’re after a casual front-of-house staff member with some experience for 20 hours a week. Ideally, the FOH member will have an RSA and strong communication and customer service skills.

Floppy ears and a fly upon your nose are not required.

RISING SUN PICTURES

Rising Sun Pictures, an Adelaide-based visual effects company, is looking for someone creative who can bring their vision to life through animation.
