Partners Christopher Hocking and Georgia Cromarty hung around cafes so often they decided to make money from it. And so, starting in the wee hours of a cold November 2012 morning, they did.

Located in a spacious garage down Eliza Street, those who stumble across the café may confuse Hello, Yes for a Melbournian street café. Coincidently, this is not a coincidence, as the pair were more than inspired by the Eastern State’s coffee culture. Confined, yet by no means limited, by a tiny kitchen and a toaster oven, the menu is a concoction of hearty homemade goodness, and nanna-approved baked goods. Open from 7.30am till 3pm weekdays, and 10am till 3pm Saturdays, cycle down for an exceedingly well-made coffee. Why not? They even have a space to park your bike.
