CALIBRE

261 Rundle Street

Australian menswear brand Calibre considers itself a bridge luxury brand. While they do not occupy the exclusive high-end market, they exude clean luxury catering to classic suiting and elevated casual and athleisure.

When Calibre first opened in South Australia in 2009 its Rundle Street store was amongst the first until they relocated to Rundle Mall in 2015.

But Calibre client and corporate relationships manager Dino Leopardi says, after moving back to their old stomping ground late last year, Rundle Street East is a much better fit for the brand.

“I feel like we’re now in a more premium fashion shopping district,” he says.

“I think that space being nestled in amongst some premium Australian women’s labels as well really befits the whole dynamic of what we’re trying to supply our customers.”

Dino says the whole east end ecosystem and being surrounded by some of Adelaide’s best hospitality reflects the sort of client Calibre is looking to attract.

“It’s about having the right kinds of businesses around you,” he says.

“We’re definitely very happy to be back down [in the east end] again and looking forward to that store growing and becoming part of the ecosystem down there.”

CABLE

245A Rundle St

Since its inception in 2007 Cable has always had a strong focus on knitwear. They have always prided themselves on using ethically and locally sourced pure merino wool creating premium knitwear designed to last.

Of course, as the brand has expanded so has its product line. But Cable’s marketing manager Sally Richardson says while they do introduce seasonal styles Cable remains true to its original vision of producing “trusted wardrobe stables and timeless classics”.

After opening in mid-June Cable’s Rundle Street store is one of its newest additions. Sally says after the longstanding success of Adelaide’s Hyde Park store, a city store felt like the “natural progression” and Rundle Street East was the perfect location.

“Cable is definitely a premium brand [but also] a very down-to-earth and relaxed brand,” Sally says.

“We present great quality classic styles that people will wear season after season.

“We’re really delighted to have expanded our footprint in South Australia.”

ASSEMBLY LABEL

257 Rundle Street

Assembly Label celebrates the minimalist and endeavours to simplify life with the ease of comfort, quality and elevated luxury rolled into one.

This is a brand that caters to the capsule wardrobe and seeks to remove the unnecessary and make space for what is important.

Rundle Street East is home to Assembly Label’s only South Australian store and brand manager Harriet Fearnley says when planning out their presence in Adelaide the east end was an important choice for the brand.

“Adelaide was really important in the sense that for a relatively small city, it has such a rich cultural and artistic and design focus,” Harriet says.

“Connecting with that community was really important to us and Rundle Street seems like the perfect match.

“Obviously Rundle Street is a destination for contemporary fashion but it’s also within that rich tapestry of culture and arts and it’s been really great being able to tap into that.”

Harriet says Assembly Label strives for connection with its community and its Rundle Street store is no exception.

Featuring furniture from local producers as well as heroing various local artists and residents within the space only reflects the vibrant culture of Rundle Street East.
