Mixing up-and-coming stars with big international names, the Adelaide International Guitar Festival takes over the festival centre in July.

Programmed by artistic director Slava Grigoryan, the festival takes in a wide range of styles – from gypsy jazz to high-energy shredding. CityMag is most excited about the Coopers Late Night sessions which promise the kind of good time you have when drinking large amounts of beer, accompanied by the kind of enlightenment you feel when listening to transcendental music. For our money, jazz guitarists James Muller, Ben Hauptmann and Christopher Hale accompanied by vocalists Gian Slater and Ben Vanderwal will be the not-to-be-missed event of the festival.
