The Spanish Film Festival returns to Adelaide this June, with Palace Nova’s Eastend hosting a range of Spanish and Latin American film piped in from the global film festival circuit.

Among the highlights of the 2023 Spanish Film Festival is the Women in Filmmaking focus, featuring seven female directors, as well as a Carlos Saura retrospective and a Uruguayan documentary with an Australian connection.

The festival will open on Wednesday, 14 June, with a screening of Australian premiere Two Many Chefs.

A comedy set in Bilbao’s world of high cuisine, the film follows a father and son whose unexpected reunion after 30 years apart puts their ideas about cooking and life to the test.
