Hoard band tees instead of TP.
West Thebarton just dropped some very topical merch
SPECIAL REPORT: COVID-19 ADELAIDE
“Do you have a square to spare?” was the famous plea from Elaine Benes in a toilet cubical three decades ago in an episode of Seinfeld.

As society grapples to find resources, like seeds and flour, and is bizarrely hoarding things like toilet paper, the request rings true now more than ever.
West Thebarton are capitalising on that hunger (kind of).
A new range of West Thebarton merchandise has been released and it’s simple and it’s good and it’s funny – it’s a white Gildan heavy-cotton tee-shirt with a crisp print of a seven-ply “softness” pack of toilet paper.
Designed by drummer Caitlin Thomas (also known as tattoo artist Lucid Lines), the West Thebarton toilet paper tee is $30 a pop and purchasing them is one way to support the seven-piece Adelaide rock band – which in 2018 was nominated for an ARIA Award (no big deal) for their breakout debut album Different Beings Being Different – during the COVID-19 crisis.
“Toilet paper has become a pretty strange icon of this whole situation,” the collective West Thebarton tells us.
“It’s obviously so hard for so many people across so many industries but we, and all other creatives, have really seen a huge blow to our ability to earn a living.
“So we decided to put out a t-shirt that’s hopefully topical and brightens the pretty heavy situation that this health crisis presents to everyone.”
If you’re in for supporting artists in times of strife while expressing your bewilderment at toilet paper hoarding, all via a nifty tee, head to West Thebarton’s website.
