Adelaide’s drinks menu diversity has come a long way since the advent of small bars; never have we been so spoilt for choice for craft beer, spirits, new-age wine and interesting cocktails.

But what has the small bar scene done for the diversity of sounds available to Adelaide’s venue-hoppers?

We at CityMag love deep house and disco as much as the next magazine, but sometimes it’s nice to throw yourself into uncharted aural territory.

For this we have our good friends at Format, who will this weekend host a showcase of artists from experimental WA label Tone List, as they tour around the country.

Expect such sounds as “endurance-based guitar harmony” from Jameson Feakes, “trans-femme noise” from Testicular Atrophy, and “electro-techno-minimal” from Sebastian Vivian.
