The annual SALA Festival is back, with more than 40 opportunities to experience art around the City of Port Adelaide Enfield.

Exhibitions are occurring in the area’s established galleries, as well as in some unexpected places.

There are shows in kindergartens, schools, shops and supermarkets, all of which are showing diverse and exciting works.

These shows highlight the creativity and innovation of Port Adelaide’s – and South Australia’s – emerging and established artists.

Much of their work is based on local identity and culture, with artists taking inspiration from local streetscapes and the Port’s beautiful natural environments.

There are also many local places around Port Adelaide Enfield where you can take a break from the every day and enjoy art that gives a glimpse into life in the locale.

From Semaphore to Sefton Park, from the Port and back to Hillcrest and Holden Hill, there are exhibitions across multiple mediums and formats.
