Our Place: The Festival 2
In our latest print mag – issue 23, on streets and in cafés now! – CityMag brought back the gig guide in street press form.
Our Place // The Festival 2
3pm Saturday, 15 December at The Backpackers, 1 Moseley Street, Glenelg.
Tickets.
We also reached out to some friends in the local scene for some tips on the shows we should be attending over the summer, and none other than Governor of The Porch Sessions, Co-Chief Lurker of Porchland (self-appointed), and, in her own words, “Giver of Hugs, Lover of Clouds, Hot Sauce and Making Up Words That Don’t Exist,” Sharni Honor suggested another locally made festival: Our Place // The Festival 2.
The lineup is predominantly local (The Montreals, Playback 808, Rat Ta’Mango, Tales, Teenage Sister, China Roses, Joint Ventures), with two interstate headliners rung in (Byron Bay’s Drop Legs and Neighbourhood Youth from Melbourne), and the venue is not one we at CityMag can say we’ve seen live music in before.
Nevertheless, here are Sharni’s thoughts on the matter:

The Porch Sessions, Porchland.
A couple local boys running a really good thing. With bloody good bands. And more beer than you can poke a stick at. This one is a guaranteed good time.
