Moss Piglet
Tardigrades… perhaps you’ve heard of them? Known affectionately as ‘Water Bears’ or ‘Moss Piglets’, these tiny creatures have survived multiple extinction events, thriving in some of the most extreme conditions imaginable.
With a surprising cult following (just Google ‘tardigrade tattoos’) this new stage work from Windmill Theatre Company is finally giving tardigrades the limelight in ‘Moss Piglet’.
Featuring wicked puppetry, choreography and live video, Moss Piglet has been made by a cracker creative team including Clare Watson (Director and Co-Creator), Elena Carapetis (Co-Creator), Gareth Davies (Co-Creator and Performer), Dylan Miller (Performer), Meg Wilson (Designer), Chris Petridis and Richard Vabre (Lighting Design), Luke Smiles (Composition and Sound Design), Michael Carmody (AV Design), Larissa McGowan (Movement Director) and Nathan O’Keefe and Jonathon Oxlade (Puppetry Directors).
Alongside the production, located in the Space Theatre foyer, will be a free, interactive installation developed by artists Emmaline Zanelli, Liam Somerville and Max Brading.
