Message from the meadow is a solo exhibition by Kangaroo Island-born artist Bridget Currie.

The outcome of ACE Open’s inaugural Porter Street Commission, the exhibition explores the entwining relationship between art (presented in the forms of sculptures, furniture, film and sound) and sensory reception.

Within the exhibition, you’ll find bespoke household furniture, made by Dean Toepfer of Mixed Goods Studio, alongside the premiere of Bridget’s new film soft insides, which is a documentation of pre-language encounters.

The exhibition features a “sonic landscape of sound”, which is a combination of autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) and spoken text, with the purpose of short-circuiting the logical mind.

Challenging ingrained beliefs and promoting interconnectedness, the exhibition aims to make emotions and dreams visible in the real world.
