Basement cocktail bar Maybe Mae recently announced a series of events highlighting the work of their mates over in Melbourne – bars who are being heavily affected by the reinstated lockdown in Victoria.

Every week over six weeks, Maybe Mae will play host to one Melbourne bar, from which Maybe Mae has purchased 100 cocktails and will recreate them here.

Money goes into the tills of operators who need it most, and you and I and our best mates get to transport to Melbourne for a night, without needing to travel for hours or risk joining the escalating number of COVID cases in Victoria.

Put simply, it’s an easy and tasty way to do something nice for our neighbours to the east.

The first bar off the rank is Black Pearl, located in Fitzroy and trading for nearly two decades.

Doors for the event will open at 6pm, there are no reservations available, and given the 100-serve max, there will be limited serves available. We want to share the love around, right?
