Live Music and Poetry at ACE Open

To celebrate World Refugee Day on Thursday, 20 June, ACE Open is holding a live music and poetry night, inspired by the gallery’s current exhibition, Daydreamer Wolf, by Afghani-born artist and poet, Elyas Alavi.

The event offers performers and guests an opportunity to collectively celebrate the contribution that refugees and migrants make to our community, and will emphasise the themes of community, place, migration and identity, giving attendees a unique opportunity to reflect on what makes somewhere ‘home.’

ACE Open’s live music and poetry evening will features work from poets Elyas Alavi, Manuela Atok, Elain Barker, Juan Garrido, Natalie Harkin, Disha Raval, and Alex Sutcliffe with musicians Farhan Shah & SufiOz.
