Left Barrel Taproom’s 1st beerthday

  1. 1

It’s been one year on since Left Barrel‘s Brad Bown set up camp on Onkaparinga Valley Road in Balhannah, and so the brewery is throwing a bash to celebrate, from 4pm ’til 9pm on Saturday, 1 June.

There will be new beer releases (including a Russian Imperial Stout. Stay tuned to CityMag for more on that next week), CAROclub will be providing eats, and the brewery promises games, competitions, live music and entertainment all day.

Remarks

Left Barrel taproom’s 1st Beerthday
37 Onkaparinga Valley Road, Balhannah 5242
12pm ’til 9pm Saturday, 1 June

Left Barrel 1st Beerthday Sunday Session
12pm ’til 5pm Sunday, 2 June

The event is free entry, and there are discount beer tokens available for pre-purchase – $25 will get you either one beer token and one of only 40 souvenir beer glasses, or three beer tokens.

The celebrations don’t stop on Saturday; Left Barrel is also hosting a Hair of the Dog Sunday session from 12pm ’til 5pm featuring rolling food mobile Firebox BBQ Grille, live music, games, and footy on the big screen for those inclined towards televised live sport.

A portion of the proceeds from beer sales on the Sunday session will also go to the Hahndorf Animal Shelter, where the real-life inspiration for Left Barrel’s Sauer Puss label image was rescued from.

Doggos are welcome on Sunday, too.

Roll into Balhannah and drink to the continued success of Adelaide’s burgeoning indie beer community.
