The picturesque Adelaide Hills fig orchard, Glen Ewin Estate, has just launched a new winter menu, executed by head chef Jason Theng.

Highlights of the menu include crispy soft tofu, mushroom & chilli bean ragu, the Glen Ewin duck & gin sausages, Filipino afritada, fig & chilli chutney, jus, and the opportunity to try the Glen Ewin Fig Gin affogato, espresso coffee, Fig Gin, fig leaf ice cream, Biscofig.
If you’re sensing a theme here, you’re right. Jason and his team have been tasked with getting very creative with figs from the 12000 tree fig orchard, to great effect.
Just 30 minutes out of the city, the Glen Ewin property hosts a fig orchard, beautiful lakes, and there’s plenty of wildlife to ponderously stare out upon from the restaurant’s deck.
