Albeit online and not IRL as we all would like, First Fridays is back at the Art Gallery of South Australia, with this a focus on First Nations artwork and stories.

Remarks

First Fridays: Unceded Lands
AGSA – Online
5pm ‘til 9pm Friday, 3 July
Participate online here.

A recording of Megan Cope’s ‘Untitled (Death song)’ sound installation will be broadcast by a cast of local musicians – including folk virtuoso Naomi Keyte and former Ancient World venue owner Brad Cameron – via the AGSA website.

Arabana and Yawuru pop-rock songwriter Nathan May is billed to perform live, too.

Tarnanthi artistic director Nici Cumpston and assistant curator to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art at AGSA Gloria Strzelecki will offer an in-depth look into First Nations work at the gallery.
