Dogapalooza
**PLEASE NOTE: This event has been postponed. See the event page for updates.**
If you’re the kind to get around dogs, live music, and community-run events (you’re reading CityMag, so you must be), then it’ll be well worth you while heading to Oprhanage Park in Millswood this Sunday, 15 March.
Dogapalooza
11am—3pm Sunday, 15 March
Orphanage Park, Mitchell Street, Millswood 5034
More info
Dogapalooza, a boutique dog-friendly music festival, will be take over the park from 11am ’til 3pm.
Local blues and roots musicians Loren Kate, Jimmybay, Seabass, King Bee, Trav Collins and Ryan Martin John will provide the tunes, with a range of stalls also setting up shop for your perusing pleasure. There will be dog washes (in case the nearby creek tempts your pup), raw treats and cupcakes, dog-related accessories (collars, leads, bowties), human body care products, nitro coffee, ice cream, a vegan barbecue, and more.
There will also be local animal shelters, sanctuaries and advocacy organisations represented, which can each provide information on the work they do and how you can help, if you’re so inclined.
And while the drinks offering on the day is non-alcoholic, visitors are welcome to BYO.
Tickets for the event through Fringetix are $18 ($16 concession), or $20 at the gate.
Grab a ticket, tell your dog, if you don’t have a dog, borrow your neighbour’s dog, and head along for a good cause – the festival is run entirely by volunteers so that all proceeds from the event can then be donated to local animal rescue and advocacy groups.
