Samstag will present two spellbinding multi-screen moving image works by acclaimed UK artist and filmmaker Isaac Julien. Isaac is world-renowned for arresting works that bring together baroque pageantry and metaphor.
Isaac is presented alongside Helen Fuller with the ambitious exhibition design of Khai Liew.
Developed for the 2022 Adelaide Festival, Fuller’s hand-built terracotta objects are curious and inventive. Set against Khai Liew’s exhibition design, it is a celebration of the sculptural, the material, and a distinctive imagination.
On Saturday, 5 March, from 10am, Daniel Jaber will perform Rite over a seven-hour period.
Bringing together contemporary dance, improvisation, living sculpture and installation in a study of the efforts of suppression and the weight of carrying guilt and shame, this one-day event is not to be missed.
