The Next Wave x ACE Open x Firstdraft co-commission shares Alavi’s story through his experiences as a Hazara refugee and Australian migrant, and has already exhibited in Melbourne and Sydney.

Being his largest body of work to date, Daydreamer Wolf showcases Alavi’s art through a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, documentary video, and poetry. Through this, he explores themes of family, identity, and cultural displacement, offering an unparalleled personal perspective on the refugee experience.
