CityMag’s guide to getting the most out of Little Bang this summer

One of our favourite destinations last summer, Little Bang’s Stepney brewery and taproom, has evolved again, with a fully-equipped kitchen and co-founders Ryan Davidson and Filip Kemp's crazy delicious creations.

The scene at Little Bang’s brewery is the definition of convivial. Everything is nice and friendly, even in the industrial setting of a warehouse facility.

The generosity of the ice-cold beer list, along with their own wines, gins and cider, are ample for your lazy summer afternoon session.

Little Bang has changed things up since last summer though, so we’ve got the Cliff’s Notes together on how to squeeze more Schwang out of Adelaide’s most molecular brewery.

The fully-fledged kitchen

For much of the brewery’s history – in both Union and Henry Streets – visiting food trucks have been the main fare, but over the last few months the team has worked alongside their new chef, John McFarlane, to put out a food offering of their own.

“Think Asian tapas meets an American food van on the street” says John.

The dining space has expanded too, with a new mezanine floor open above the bar, overlooking the entire tap room and brewing operation.

Vegan and vego options abound because, well, Little Bang aren’t jerks.

Cocktails with chemistry

Little Bang have always had a bit of that mad-scientist vibe going on, but it turns out they’re just crazy like a fox.

Pictured is one such concoction: the I’ll Have What She’s Having – featuring a bed of Little Bang’s cider and float of Pinkening over the top. YUM!

Little Bang at home

Last year it was the Icon, this year we’ve got even more choice about what to flavour our summer with.

The Schwang series are hard to beat (a blackberry version is the latest iteration), but Little Banger is a strong contender if for no other reason than its kick-arse can design.

Browse the full range of what Little Bang have in can currently, taste everything at the taproom, and take home your favourite. It’s not rocket science!
