The $100 take-home pack includes a pho kit with DIY essentials for two people, as well as a number of self-care vouchers, including reiki sessions, acupuncture, sauna sessions and many more.

“The reason why we put this care pack together is to provide that loving and warm feeling to give yourself whilst supporting a good cause,” says Cindy Nguyen, joint owner of Metta Sol alongside childhood friend David.

“It’s a gateway of showing these alternative methods of healing out there that people can enjoy at home during winter, whilst also being able to experience our lovely pho.

Much of the care pack’s self-care treats were donated from local Goodwood businesses, which Cindy says she is immensely grateful for.

“We contacted local businesses within the Goodhub to see if anyone was interested in donating, and they kindly thought about what they could give and how they could help in their own little way,” Cindy said.

“We chose homelessness (StreetSmart) because its winter, everyone’s cold out there. Most of us are pretty privileged, I think everyone should experience those privileges.”

Metta Sol has recent experience in the fundraising game, raising money for bushfire recovery earlier this year.

“The bushfires were the last (fundraiser) one we did and that raised over $4,000, we hope to have similar support for the homeless who are out in the cold this winter,” Cindy says.

The Metta Sol Pho Ultimate Kit care package is available for preorder up until Friday, 24 July, and available for pick up on Sunday, 26 July. For more information, see here.
