As the festivals descend on the city and our collective energy levels ramp up, you’re going to need to be equipped with a wardrobe that can easily span from day to night, hopefully eliminating the need to drive out of the city and back before whatever it is you’ve got tickets to at 7pm.
To help in the process of outfit selection, we’ve scoped the streets of Adelaide in the last few weeks, looking for sartorial stars to steal from.
On the hunt for clothes that would last a 16-hour day, we found it was all about those staples – considered and adaptable pieces that could be dressed up or down.
The looks were bold and the people modest, seemingly self-assured in their fashion choices.
Statistically, denim ruled supreme, but bright colours and clashing patterns consistently made an appearance. The sun was out and the city was looking fresh.

Crisp white tees tucked into mid-rise jeans are a must. Big chests can make bold statements.
