Ever wanted to know what goes on inside the mind of an artist as they put together their masterpiece?

Remarks

Rough Draft will take place at 6.30pm, Friday November 25 at the Australian Dance Theatre Studios, 126 Belair Road Hawthorn. Entry is by donation at the door, but RSVP here.

The Australian Dance Theatre is throwing the doors open to their creative minds with the collaborative dance performance, Rough Draft.

Aptly titled, Rough Draft will showcase the rough drafts of our state’s most creative independent dance and physical theatre makers’ work, including Australian Dance Theatre’s dancers, Thomas Fonua and Felix Sampson.

Not only a show for the audience, Rough Draft is a part of the Australian Dance Theatre’s Professional Development Program. This program gives artists the opportunity to perform their work in the early stages of creative development and create the sort of feedback loop more often applied to start-ups than art troupes.

As well as the six short works presented by the aforementioned dance artists, the evening will also feature a yet-to-be-announced speaker, who will open discussions on the 2018 World Dance Congress.
